Legal
Privacy Policy.
We take your privacy seriously. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it — in plain English.
We collect minimal data
Only what’s needed to run the site — comment data, contact submissions, and standard analytics.
We don’t sell your data
Your personal information is never sold to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
You’re in control
You can request to view, edit, or delete any personal data we hold about you at any time.
01
Who We Are
Art & Attire is a style and beauty blog created by Casey Parker, dedicated to nail art, hairstyles, fashion trends, and tattoo inspiration. Our website address is https://artandattire.com.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our site. This policy outlines what personal data we collect and why, how it is used, and what rights you have.
02
What We Collect & Why
We only collect personal data when there is a clear reason to do so. The types of information we may collect include:
- Name and email address (via comment forms or contact submissions)
- IP address and browser user agent (for spam detection)
- Anonymous usage data (via standard analytics tools)
- Any content you voluntarily submit through our contact form
We do not collect payment information, sensitive personal data, or any information beyond what is listed above. We never purchase or acquire data lists from third parties.
03
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form — including your name, email address, and the comment content itself — along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy.
After your comment is approved, your profile picture (if using Gravatar) may be visible to the public alongside your comment.
04
Media
If you upload images to the website (for example, as part of a guest contribution), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.
Visitors to the website can download and potentially extract any location data from images on the website. We take care to strip location data from images we publish, and we encourage all contributors to do the same.
05
Cookies
Art & Attire uses cookies in the following limited ways:
- Comment cookies: If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last for one year.
- Login cookies: If you log in, cookies will save your login information for up to two days (or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”). These are removed when you log out.
- Temporary cookies: When you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
- Editor cookies: If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved that indicates the post ID. It expires after one day.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies beyond what is described above.
06
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, or social media posts from external platforms. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you had visited those websites directly.
These external websites may collect data about you, use their own cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content — including if you are logged into those platforms.
07
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. The only instance in which your data may be shared with a third party is:
- If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email as part of standard WordPress security.
- Your comment data may be passed through an automated spam detection service (such as Akismet).
08
How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its associated metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
09
Your Rights Over Your Data
You are in control of your personal data. If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request:
- An exported file of the personal data we hold about you
- That we erase any personal data we hold about you
- Corrections to any inaccurate data we hold
Please note that this does not include data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. To make any of these requests, please contact us directly.
10
Where Your Data is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Beyond this, your data is not routinely transferred to any external servers or third-party services outside of those described in this policy.
11
